Ellen Henderson is a native Texan without much of an accent and only the occasional “y’all.”
She has lived in the Dallas area most of her life, except for an eight-year stint in fabulous Austin, where she went to college at St. Edward’s University. (Not for eight years; she just stayed in the city for a while after graduating.) Her degree is in English Literature, and she graduated as valedictorian of her class.
She’s been writing most of her life, but has supported herself with a variety of other jobs, ranging from record store clerk to nanny in the early years, and from online content editor to website strategist more recently.
She sold her first book, Ultra Violet, to Silhouette’s Bombshell line in 2005, and it was published later that same year. All her stories focus on strong, action-oriented heroines in the hottest water of their lives.
Ellen met her now-husband (still-husband, always-husband) when she was 18, married him eight years later, and had a son with him nine years after that. Despite the apparent foot-dragging on these milestone decisions, she’s never been more sure about anyone or anything in life than her now-husband, still-husband, always-husband.
She’s also pretty wild about her son, who is all things wonderful and amazing.
When she’s not writing, working, or spending time with her two favorite guys, she reads, watches TV, and spends too much time on the Internet. In energetic phases she enjoys scuba diving, Krav Maga, and Iyengar yoga.
